The Cost of Our Silence by David Fiorazo ~ Book Giveaway

untitled

Why do you think so many Christians pursue comfort over commitment to ? Do  you sometimes feel overwhelmed by the darkness and moral decline in society today and wonder what happened to the salt and light? How have we reached a point where Christians who do preach the gospel and speak up about sin are called hateful, intolerant, or judgmental?

Christian in name only, America has become an epicenter for the culture war as too many of us keep ducking the issue of sin. Due to decades of Christians being silent, failing to preach the gospel and speak the truth in love, we’ve reached a tipping point in which political correctness refuses to coexist with religious freedom. Why do you think Christians who defend God’s Word are often called hateful, intolerant, or judgmental? There are consequences in this life and for eternity, when Christians take the path of least resistance. We cannot reverse the moral decline, but we can choose to stand for righteousness as we pray for revival and be the salt and light Jesus called us to be while we’re still here.

Hide the light of Christ and retreat, or let it shine and expose the darkness; live an inconsequential life, or bear fruit that will last. If most Christians remain silent, fewer people will be saved, society will collapse, and we will continue to be part of the problem. Dietrich Bonhoeffer said it best:
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless…”

About The Author

David Fiorazo is an author, contributor, radio personality, and writer. He has worked in the broadcasting industry for 30 years and in Christian ministry for over 25 years. While living in Los Angeles, he acted in television shows, commercials, and was very involved in the Christian community. He currently lives in Wisconsin with his wife, Rosanna.

Because of his love for the Lord, for old-school journalism, and his extensive knowledge of the ongoing secular efforts to erase Christ from culture, David was compelled to get out of his comfort zone and take action by writing, speaking, encouraging & challenging believers.

“I wasted too many years on selfish pursuits and lukewarm Christianity. Since I’ve recommitted to live as fully as possible for Christ, it’s easy to see the Church in desperate need of restoration and revival. We cannot remain neutral any longer! I am passionate about truth and am convinced America would be much better off if we – common believers – all lived what we profess to believe. No more conforming to this world. Join me in making an impact, and let’s rally the remnant of true believers and live counter-culture for Christ.”

My Thoughts

The Cost Of Our Silence  will change your world view.  This historian shares his perspective on the ideals of our founding fathers, the intent of the liberties provided in our nation’s documents, and how, because of our silence as followers of Jesus, we have allowed the decay and corruption of our society and government.

Author David Fiorazo is complete in his research, citing consistant examples of the gradual decline of our morals and referencing current situations which have further changed our society to new lows.  His words are convicting, shaming, and place silent, deceived, and cowardly Christians as the cause of these changes that occurred as we slept. His words will convict you.

The areas of research in this powerful book include:
  • watering down the Gospel message
  • no longer discussing sin
  • separating Christianity and the State
  • abusive government
  • abortion
  • liberalism in the churches of America
  • acceptance of the gay agenda
  • common core eroding our education and parental rights
  • the acceptance and fascination of witchcraft in our society
  • warping of our world view

I strongly encourage you to purchase a copy of The Cost of Our Silence for yourself and your pastor.  This book would be an excellent home Bible Study supplement, a high school history supplement, and enrichment for your personal study of our history and cultural decline in America. It will change your way of thinking and spark a desire to become more involved in your world.

Thank you to author David Fiorazo and Aneko Press for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

I am giving away one copy of this book.  Please leave a comment and I will choose a winner on
September 1st.

  1. I have been following David Fiorazo for a couple years now. I readily share his posts and books with Christian and non Christian friends. Praying as I do that our hearts, minds, eyes and ears are open to our one and only Lord's Truth. His is the only way. We Christians here on Earth are the only ones who can serve our Lord by openly voicing His Truth, confronting sin in love so the unsaved may come to know His Truth and lead them to salvation, if the will repent. But the world must also know we Christians will not compromise no matter what they do to us if they choose not to repent and continue in their sinful ways. We need to stand strong in our faith together, with His love, mercy and grace guiding us to holiness in all we do for His glory to shine for all to see,
I cannot afford David's book at this time as I am on a limited income. I would love to win a copy of his book and then share with others that I know. Thank you for a chance to do so.

  5. I came to know David's work through listening to Q90 in Green Bay, WI. I have been following his work for about a year now. In today's world, especially in the wake of the Supreme Court decisions of the last few months, practicing the Christian faith and evangelizing to others has become extremely difficult. Despite that fact, I continue to seek opportunities to share the faith and David's social media messages and blog are some of the sources that I draw inspiration from in my daily faith journey. While I have yet to get a copy of The Cost of Our Silence, I feel, based on the events of the past few months, this book would provide great insight into current events because these events can be attributed to Christians remaining silent in the face of evil. It would also be a great learn experience for myself to help me stand up for the faith when I face attacks in my daily life.
