This is the first book in The Bishop’s Family series. I always enjoy her books because I am very familiar with the settings of her plots. The subject matter is new to this author, delving deep into the darker problems of this society. I enjoyed reading this novel.
This novel seemed to flow at a slower pace than this author’s past novels. My favorite character was a school marm, Birdy Glick. Her personality is solid, direct, with a wonderful sense of humor. I hope she is a repeat character throughout this series. Read this book. It will bless your life and open your mind about the ways of this people group.
Thank you to Suzanne Woods Fisher and Revell for the opportunity to receive this book in exchange for this honest review.
